Most of the time, when a company sends an email that says its “a holiday gift,” or “our gift to you,” it means, “Click here, sucker, and let’s see if you’re eejit enough to believe that marking a product up by 50% and then offering you 20% off is a ‘gift’.” But yours really was a very nice little audio session, with no strings attached. I enjoyed it and I’m sure others will as well. I’ll be back for more.
To be honest, this is a bit scary and it’s causing me some discomfort at the moment, especially around the chest and throat area.

Linda, What you describe does not sound typical. I’m sorry if my gift affected you that way.
The binaural beats are supposed to entice you into a relaxed state of mind. Most people just feel relaxed and drowsy when they listen. The sounds are certainly unusual and may take some time to get used to. But if it’s really uncomfortable, perhaps binaural beats are not for you.

My understanding (I’m not a Mac user) is that when the audio is playing in your browser, you should be able to go to the File menu and select “Save As.”

To the person who was worried about the effects — your symptoms sound like typical symptoms of apprehension about trying something new. Binaural beats can’t do anything to you, physically. Most people find that the monotonous sound is relaxing. This recording is a little off balance in that the binaural tones are louder than the rainfall, Normally the binaurals would be embedded in natural sounds or music, so that you hear them only as a background, They do sound a little odd when they’re in the forefront of the recording, but they can’t do anything to you. Some people claim that different frequencies have different effects, but most people find that the frequency doesn’t matter — it’s just a monotonous tone that some people can use as a meditation aid (the same way monotonous repetition of a word can be used) and some people just find relaxing. Some people who are more noise sensitive in general find it annoying, But it’s no more dangerous than listening to Bon Jovi or Toby Keiith. It’s just a different kind of music.
